Objectives

Develop innovative vaccines against AHS, PPR and FMD and evaluate their capabilities in vitro and in vivo.
Demonstrate the safety and efficacy of the candidate vaccines in the target species.
Develop companion diagnostic tests for reliable differentiation between infected and vaccinated animals (DIVA) and assessment of the post‐vaccination immune response.
Increase knowledge on virulence factors and correlates of protection for AHS and FMD.
Study the acceptability of DIVA vaccines for stakeholders in Senegal, where PPR is endemic.
